Site Audit - Orion's Arrow personnel audited the site for system configuration, scanner setup, user application usability, and application performance. As a result of the audit recommendations, made changes to the user application which increased productivity and reduced data entry error rates.

Operating System and Database Upgrade - Orion's Arrow personnel upgraded imaging servers moving the enterprise application to new physical servers, upgrading the underlying database version, upgrading from NT to Microsoft Windows 2000, and upgrading the imaging application version. Upgraded servers included the database server, the file server, the optical server, and two application servers.

New Hampshire Department of Labor

Backup/Recovery Planning - Orion's Arrow personnel Conducted a disaster recovery review. As a result of these efforts, implemented a new backup software and new backup procedures.

Server Room and Workstation Upgrades - Orion's Arrow personnel became involved in the server room upgrades, discussions regarding the viability of wireless technologies, and network switch upgrades. The server room upgrades included a complete refresh of all the existing Windows NT servers. The switches, server racks, servers, and UPS units were replaced with new equipment. The servers were upgraded to Windows 2000, IIS 4.0, and SQL Server 2000. Business desktops and scanning workstations were upgraded to run new Dell machines with Windows XP. Created the project plan, detailed hardware specifications, and cost estimates. Then, implemented the upgrades.

Data Conversion - Orion's Arrow personnel Performing a data migration from optical storage media to a SAN (Storage Area Network) of 2.5 million TIFF images.

Software Upgrade - Upgraded a mission critical retirement processing system. Upgrades included new server hardware, upgrade operating system (Windows 2000), new version of the database server (Oracle 9i), new version of the underlying Global360 document imaging system, and several application feature enhancements. Orion's Arrow personnel configured and secured the IIS web server required by the new web-based administration tools.

Washington Department of Retirement Systems

Site Audit - Orion's Arrow personnel conducted a site audit, specifically focused upon system security and recoverability. The audit results included a written writeup and a generally good bill-of-health. Minor changes were made to improve backup and recovery documentation.
